Rosales and Chadli come to FC Twente

FC Twente strengthened the squad with Roberto Rosales (left) and Nacer Chadli. Roberto Rosales is a 21-year old defender from Venezuela and will transfer from AA Gent. He will sign a contract for three seasons with an option for one more year after that. Nacer Chadli has agreed to a three year contract with the club from Enschede. The Belgian player will move from AGOVV Apeldoorn. 

Ronnie Stam to Wigan Athletic

Ronnie Stam will make an immediate transfer to Wigan Athletic. The 26-year old defender signed a contract for three seasons for the Premier League club. Stam, who came to FC Twente from NAC Breda two seasons ago, played 57 league matches and scored two goals.
FC Twente defeated by Getafe

On Tuesday night FC Twente and Getafe played a friendly match ending in a 2-1 victory for the Spanish side. Bryan Ruiz opened the scoring in the second half but the Spaniards scored twice after that. The match against Getafe was FC Twente's last friendly match preparing for the new season.

Third Place at Uhren Cup

FC Twente managed to secure third spot on Friday night at the Uhren Cup. In the 3rd/4th place match the Tukkers played against Deportivo La Coruna. FC Twente went down early on in the game but managed to come back via Luuk de Jong (1-1). This was the score at the final whistle as well meaning penalties would decide the winner. Goalkeeper Nick Marsman managed to save two of Deportivo's penalties meaning FC Twente took third place.

Small Loss against VfB Stuttgart

FC Twente played against VfB Stuttgart on Wednesday night resulting in a 2-1 loss. The match was the first in the Uhren Cup, in the Swiss place Grenchen. Marc Janko opened the scoring for FC Twente but VfB Stuttgart won the match through second half goals of Harnik and Kuzmanovic.
