FC Twente suffers first defeat

FC Twente suffered its first loss of this season on Sunday afternoon. De Tukkers visited Ajax in the ArenA and were defeated 3-0. FC Twente started strong but Demy de Zeeuw opened the scoring. Just before half time Pantelic scored the 2-0 and Rommedahl finished an attack to put the final score on the board. Goalkeeper Sander Boschker, who collided with Jan Vertonghen in the first half was substituted by Cees Paauwe due to a head injury.
Nicolay Mihaylov signs contract

Nicolay Mihaylov signed a contract for three years on Friday afternoon. The 21 year-old goalkeeper has been playing at FC Twente on loan since 2007 and is now being signed from Liverpool.
FC Twente win over Heracles (2-0)

FC Twente defeated Heracles Almelo in the derby of the east on Wednesdaynight. In a game that was dominated by mistakes Bryan Ruiz and Blaise NKufo scored the goals in the 2-0 victory. With the win FC Twente remain at the top of the table along with PSV.
FC Twente defeat Roda JC

FC Twente managed to defeat Roda JC on Sunday afternoon in de Grolsch Veste (2-0). After a 0-0 half-time score Kenneth Perez and Bryan Ruiz scored in the 71st and 72nd minute. Sander Boschker played his 529th match for FC Twente and with that became record holder for having played most games for a club in Holland.
Steve McClaren welcomes Vagif Javadov

Whilst the first squad of FC Twente was in La Manga, Spain, Vagif Javadov (20) signed a three and a half year contract in Enschede. The attacker from Azerbeidjan then went back to his home country to receive his working permits and returned to FC Twente this week. Javadov first trained with the squad on Friday morning where he was introduced to the squad and was welcomes by Steve McClaren.
